Working with students is one of the most rewarding jobs that anyone can do. I strive to be a valuable stakeholder in the education of next generation. I have 6 years of teaching and tutoring experience across the four core academic subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) with a strong educational background in social studies. I graduated with my Bachelor's from Arizona State University with Honors and ahead of schedule. Although I have a bias towards math and social studies tutoring, I do tutor all subjects at the secondary (6-12) level. I believe that all students should be given the flexibility to succeed and that every learning style must be accommodated for.

Math is one of my strongest subjects all round. I excel at problem solving, noticing patterns, and following steps. Because of my ability to grasp these points, it helps me break down the steps and equations to teach them to a very intelligent student who hasn't had the extra help they need to grasp these tools.

I have recently graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (GPA 3.71). In college, I have taken several math courses that involved algebra, even though I was not required to take the actual trigonometry course because of my SAT score (770/800 in math). I have been tutoring in Algebra for over 10 years! I started as a peer tutor in high school, and from there tutored elementary school to college students. What distinguishes me as an Algebra tutor is that I, too, once struggled in math. I then had a wonderful teacher who enlightened me and led me to enjoy mathematics, and it is this joy of understanding that I aim to infuse in my lessons. Students can open themselves up to taking risks, which are crucial to learning, when they are taught to accept their mistakes and view struggle as a chance for improvement.
